The age of staying indoors has been with us for a few years now, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going away any time soon. People are being cooped up indoors and we find ourselves with loads of free time on our hands. This is undisputedly a great thing for all of us. We all have more time on our hands to explore what it means to be human and to figure ourselves out as people.
There are plenty of surefire classic ways of letting loose and unwinding such as uncorking a bottle of wine and watching a movie on Netflix, but that’s not the only way. One of the most popular ways of relaxing nowadays is by getting crafty. By letting loose with our creativity, we can really explore our personal definitions of beauty. If you want to go for a bit of a different medium to express your art, go for resin art. It is a type of art that uses epoxy resin either as the framing for the art or as the art itself. It allows you to get creative with colors and the things that you want to display so go ahead and check out pigment pastes.

Some of the other ways of keeping busy include, getting fit. Getting fit by working up a sweat no longer necessitates that you put on your special workout clothes, get in the car and drive for 30 mins just to get to a gym. Since we’ve all been indoors the problem of commuting is no longer one that exists. There is a plethora of group classes that you can join in order to keep fit. It’s a great way to spend the time since we don’t get out nearly as much as we used to.
Another great way to spend your time is by practicing meditation. By practicing meditation daily, you will improve your life dramatically. You realize that the anxieties you face in daily life can be observed, understood and let go of, if you understand how the mind works. You don’t need to be a monk to get started, you don’t need to be on top of a hill somewhere with a rosary, burning incense, you can literally meditate in your car, while in traffic if you really wanted to.

Another life skill that you should get used to is cooking. Cooking is one of the best skills that anyone, man, or woman can learn. It allows us to break free from the curse that is constantly ordering takeaway and provides us with a low-cost way of nourishing ourselves. Cooking is also something that we can be very proud of. Whenever a meal is made, the cook usually takes a step back to taste the food they have made as a way of admiring their own work. It’s a fantastic and necessary hobby for everyone to pick up. It’s not like learning how to cook is difficult either. All it takes is food, a kitchen, a recipe on the internet and a willingness to learn.
